Save the date: media representatives are being invited to register for the press conference at Arena Berlin on Friday, 6 March 2020, where they can find out first-hand about the three-day Berlin Travel Festival and the Berlin Travel Festival Convention, along with Shop Shift and Travel Massive Forum.

From 6 to 8 March 2020 the official partner event of ITB Berlin (4 to 8 March) will take place for the third time in succession. Taking as its slogan ‘Where is Paradise’ the festival targets visitors in search of adventure, with a new perspective on travel and who are looking for inspiration. At the Press Preview on 6 March 2020 Bernd Neff, co-founder and managing director of the Berlin Travel Festival, will present the concept and highlights of this year’s event in which some 200 international exhibitors and 150 speakers are expected to take part and which will also feature numerous master classes and screenings. ”We are looking forward to spending three great festival days together with our visitors. With the Berlin Travel Festival Start-up Award we are also honouring creative new concepts and business models for the first time”, said Bernd Neff. Following the press conference tours will take place of the exhibition and Campus Area.

Berlin Travel Festival Convention: Shop Shift and Travel Massive Forum

Directly after the press conference the Berlin Travel Festival 2020 will open its doors to all visitors. The one-day convention for industry insiders and innovators will begin at the same time. The conference consists of two modules which are organised in cooperation with selected partners. Shop Shift will examine disruptive and transformative retail concepts and ask the question ”How do you actually sell anticipation?” Shop Shift is organised by the agency Dan Pearlman, the experts in holistic brand experiences.

The Travel Massive Forum is organised by the world’s largest community of travel professionals and will devote itself to the future of travel. This is where new ideas and forward-looking solutions from the community will provide a comprehensive overview of the travel industry and where attendees will find ample opportunity to exchange views and learn from each other. Debut for the Berlin Travel Festival Start-up Award

This year, in cooperation with Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e.V., the crowdfunding platform Startnext and the business magazine Business Punk, the Berlin Travel Festival Start-up Award will be presented for the first time. Around 30 start-ups exhibiting their innovations at the festival can apply. The winners will be announced on the Nest Stage on Sunday, 8 March 2020 and can look forward to receiving individual media and consultancy services and a free stand at the Berlin Travel Festival 2021. In addition to the Jury Award there will also be a People’s Choice Award. Visitors will be able to vote for the eventual winner during the three days of the event.

Accreditation for the Press Preview on Friday, 6 March 2020 (from 9.30 a.m.) and the three-day festival can be obtained at www.berlintravelfestival.com/accreditation/ at any time. After the press conference a shuttle service will be available to ITB Berlin.

– From 6 to 8 March trade visitors to ITB Berlin will be admitted free of charge to the Berlin Travel Festival, on condition that they register on the ticket shop page at www.berlintravelfestival.com/tickets/ and present confirmation of registration and a valid ITB trade visitor pass on admission.
– Holders of a day ticket to the Berlin Travel Festival and a visitor’s ticket to ITB Berlin may be accompanied by a second person to ITB Berlin free of charge. Only the ticket to the Berlin Travel Festival need be presented for admission to ITB Berlin.
