The six-person delegation from Beijing met with CDA staff from O'Hare's operations, design and construction sections.
CHICAGO, 2012-11-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) hosted officials from Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd. (BCIA) at O’Hare International Airport.
The purpose of the visit was to study the CDA’s vast experience with airport construction and operations management and the integration of the two sections. BCIA is one of the CDA’s seven sister airports under an agreement signed in Beijing, China in March 2011.
While at O’Hare, the group met with CDA staff from O’Hare’s operations, design and construction sections. The delegation also toured the CDA Operations Tower. Beijing Capital International Airport is known as the “China Gateway” and was ranked the second busiest airport in the world for passenger traffic in 2011.

Since CDA Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino was appointed in 2009 the CDA has hosted international delegations from Germany; Sweden; Netherlands; Latin America; the Caribbean; Singapore; Belgrade, Serbia; United Arab Emirates; China; South Korea; United Kingdom and countries of the former Soviet Union.
