As Minor Hotels’ second property in Laos following Avani+ Luang Prabang, the development supports the group’s strategy to expand the Avani brand in culturally rich destinations across Southeast Asia while catering to both international travellers and local communities.

(PRESS RELEASE) BANGKOK, Thailand, 2026-Mar-4 — /Travel PR News/ — Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming opening of Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, a premium lifestyle hotel scheduled to welcome guests in the second quarter of 2026. The new property will become the company’s second hotel in Laos and will further strengthen the group’s presence in one of Southeast Asia’s culturally rich and rapidly evolving travel destinations.

The hotel will join Avani+ Luang Prabang, which operates in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang, expanding Minor Hotels’ footprint in the country and supporting its broader strategy to grow the Avani brand across emerging destinations in Asia.

Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will be located on Fa Ngum Road, approximately 15 minutes from Wattay International Airport. Positioned in the centre of the Laotian capital, the hotel is expected to serve as a key base for both international visitors and the local community. The development aligns with Vientiane’s increasing role as a regional gateway and a capital city that is becoming more connected to neighbouring countries through tourism, trade and infrastructure development.

The new property has been designed with modern travellers in mind, offering a contemporary environment suited for both business and leisure stays. The design concept follows the Avani brand’s focus on practical, lifestyle-oriented hospitality that balances functionality with comfort.

The hotel will feature 197 guestrooms across several categories, including Deluxe Rooms, suites and a Presidential Suite. Guestroom layouts are intended to accommodate both relaxation and productivity, providing spaces that support work, rest and flexible use throughout the day.

Dining and social spaces will play a central role in the hotel’s guest experience. Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will offer four distinct dining venues designed to create an active social atmosphere within the property.

Mekong Mosaic will operate as the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, offering international cuisine served through buffet selections and live cooking stations. Guests will have the option of indoor or outdoor seating.

Sabaidee Social will provide a lively ground-floor bar concept with direct street access, making it accessible not only to hotel guests but also to local visitors. The Pantry will offer a café and deli-style setting for coffee, light meals and informal meetings.

For a more refined dining experience, Salongxay will present a fine dining concept supported by two private dining rooms designed for small gatherings and special occasions.

The property will also feature a range of wellness facilities designed to support relaxation and wellbeing. AvaniSpa will be located on the mezzanine floor and will include three single treatment rooms, two couples treatment rooms and a dedicated relaxation lounge.

AvaniFit, the brand’s fitness concept, will provide a gym, body-and-mind studio and changing facilities on the same level. An outdoor swimming pool located on the ground floor will offer an additional leisure option for guests.

Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will also include extensive facilities for meetings and events. The Lanexang Hall ballroom will accommodate up to 320 guests and can be divided into two function rooms for greater flexibility. The ballroom will be complemented by a bridal suite and VIP room.

Additional meeting rooms and an outdoor event lawn capable of hosting up to 100 guests will support a variety of events including corporate meetings, weddings and private celebrations.

The development reflects Minor Hotels’ strategy to expand its lifestyle hospitality portfolio in destinations where contemporary travel experiences can coexist with strong cultural heritage. By adding a second Avani property in Laos, the company aims to capture growing interest in Southeast Asian destinations that combine cultural tourism with modern hospitality offerings.
