Allegiant Travel Company names Jude Bricker as its new COO

LAS VEGAS, NV, 2016-Jan-26 — /Travel PR News/ — Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announced that it has named Jude Bricker to the position of Chief Operating Officer and expanded the role of Chief Financial Officer Scott Sheldon. This restructuring of the Company’s management organization will strengthen its operation and place a renewed emphasis on customer experience.

Senior Vice President of Planning Jude Bricker will take on the role of COO and will now oversee Flight Operations, Maintenance and Safety, in addition to his current role leading the network and fleet strategy. Bricker will lead the planning and day-to-day operation of the airline, focusing on strengthening the business and utilizing the cooperation of the work groups under his management to improve processes to ensure ongoing success.

Chief Financial Officer Scott Sheldon will now oversee Inflight and Operation Control Center(OCC), in addition to his current responsibilities leading the finance, procurement and customer operations areas. By adding Inflight and OCC to his management, Sheldon will oversee all frontline employees who are the day-to-day touch points for Allegiant customers. By bringing these work groups together under Sheldon’s leadership, Allegiant will be well-positioned to make meaningful improvements in its customer experience.

“In the near-term, our efforts will be focused on reviewing our operations group and understanding where we can make improvements in both systems and processes, but we are looking to the future with these changes to our organization,” said Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., chairman and CEO of Allegiant Travel Company. “I have every confidence in Scott and Jude in their enhanced roles and that they will both continue to contribute to our ongoing success. They have each demonstrated their commitment to Allegiant during their tenure here. Both have brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to their roles and have developed extremely competent and successful organizations under their leadership. Having built up their current teams, we are fortunate to have them expand their focus and expertise to more areas of the organization.”

Bricker brings over 20 years of management and aviation experience to the role of COO. He joined Allegiant in May 2006 as manager of fleet planning. He became the director of fleet planning in 2007 before being promoted to vice president of corporate finance and treasurer in 2010. He was named Senior Vice President of Planning in 2012. Prior to joining Allegiant, Bricker held various positions with American Airlines and the US Marine Corps.

Sheldon was appointed chief financial officer and senior vice president in May 2010. He has also served as the Company’s principal accounting officer since 2007. Previously, Sheldon served as the Company’s vice president of accounting after holding positions as accounting manager and director of accounting. Prior to joining Allegiant in 2004, Sheldon worked as a senior audit associate at Perry-Smith, LLP.

The new roles for Bricker and Sheldon will replace the areas previously overseen by Chief Operating Officer Steve Harfst, who recently resigned. The Company will use this leadership change as an opportunity to refocus on operational needs and areas for improvement. Allegiant is committed to operational excellence and looks forward to continued progress in this area.
