Aeroflot’s integrated management system recieved certificate for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 Standards

Moscow, 2014-04-25 — /Travel PR News/ — During a solemn ceremony held today, Aeroflot received a certificate confirming the compliance of its integrated management system with the requirements of international standards IS0 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems.

The certificate was handed by Tomas Vit, the head of TÜV SÜD Central Eastern Europe, and CEO of TÜV SÜD Russia Oscar Ozols. TÜV SÜD Russia, the official representative of one of the world’s leading companies for international certification TÜV SÜD, examined the airline’s compliance with the international standards imposed on integrated management systems.

Comprehensive check took place in Aeroflot on February 3-7, 2014. Auditors visited key divisions responsible for product quality and customer service; production safety; security; service on board; ground transportation software; health and safety and environment.

Aeroflot was the first Russian airline to pass the combined audit for compliance with two standards at once — Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems, which demonstrates the integration of the QMS with company’s overall management.

Aeroflot’s QMS was for the first time certified in December 2007. The decision on certification of environmental management system was adopted at the meeting of the airline’s Board of Directors in April 2012.

The certificate of compliance of integrated management system with the requirements of IS0 9001and ISO 14001 series demonstrates the company’s commitment to the concept of sustainable development, ecological balance and social responsibility to its employees and the citizens of our country.
