AEROFLOT TRAFFIC AND CAPACITY STATISTICS FOR DECEMBER AND 12 MONTHS OF 2012

Moscow, 2013-02-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for December and 12 months of 2012.

In December 2012passenger traffic increased by 16.3% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 1,393.6 ths passengers. International passenger traffic rose by 22.9% (+154.0 ths passengers) reaching 825.9 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 567.7 ths which is 7.8% more (+41.3 ths passengers) compared to the result of December 2011.

Seat load factor in December 2012 rose by 1.0 p.p. compared to December 2011 and reached 73.6%. Revenue load factor reached 61.6% (+1.1 p.p. compared to December 2011).

Passenger turnover of the company went up by 19.7% against the same period in 2011 and reached 4,139 mln passenger-kilometers. International passenger turnover totaled 2,862 mln passenger-kilometers which is 25.0% more compared to the same period of 2011. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 9.3% against December 2011 and amounted to 1,277 mln passenger-kilometers.

Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 16,155 tonne which is 0.4% more compared to December 2011.

The results for 12 months of 2012 show that the number of carried passengers increased by 24.6% (+3,482 ths passengers) to become 17,656 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 77.9%, exceeding the result of the corresponding period of 2011 by 0.4 p.p. Passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 50,533 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 20.3% (+8,512 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 12 months of 2011.
