Aeroflot celebrates one millionth passenger on Saint-Petersburg – Moscow route

MOSCOW, 2012-12-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — On December 12 Aeroflot has carried the one millionth passenger on Saint-Petersburg — Moscow route. Alexander Lebedev was a lucky flyer taking his SU13 flight from Saint-Petersburg Pulkovo airport to Moscow Sheremetyevo hub. He received a return ticket to any destination point in Europe from Aeroflot and a free certificate for visiting business lounge from Pulkovo airport authorities.

In November 2012 the annual passenger flow at Pulkovo airport reached its 10 000 000-th milestone. Aeroflot is taking continuous efforts to satisfy the growing demand in high-quality international and domestic flights to and from Saint-Petersburg (also known as the Northern Venice) shown both by business travelers and tourists.

The first agreement between Aeroflot and the city authorities was signed in 2006, opening the Aeroflot branch in Saint-Petersburg. Since that time the quantity of flights has grown from 1 611 in 2006 till 4 606 in 2012.
