ADAC wins Two ‘Stevie’ Awards at 9th Annual International Business Awards

Best Mobile Site’ award won for Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Mobile Website and ‘Best Overall Web Design’ award won for the Airport’s official website

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 2012-09-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has won two Prestigious ‘Stevie’ awards from the 9th International Business Awards (IBA). The Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) mobile website won the Gold Stevie Award trophy, one of the Stevie Awards most coveted prizes, for the ‘Best Mobile Site’. In addition, the airport’s official website won the Silver Stevie award for ‘Best Overall Web Design’. Winners were determined through two months of preliminary judging and two weeks of final judging.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards programme. All individuals and organisations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2012 IBAs received entries from more than 50 nations and territories. Nicknamed the ‘Stevies’ after the Greek word for ‘crowned’, the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea on 15 October 2012.

James E. Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of ADAC commented: “ADAC is proud to be receiving such great recognition from IBA’s for the second year. As an international airport, it is our priority to make travelling easier for customers through implementing a user friendly yet technologically advanced website which features a creative, focused, interactive and informative design.  ADAC continuously strives to offer high quality services – receiving both awards marks an excellent testimony to the quality of service that ADAC is committed to delivering as our airports continue to develop.”

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 300 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.

“Entries to the IBAs grew substantially this year,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.  “Despite slow economic conditions in much of the world, the quality of nominations was outstanding, demonstrating that there are many companies that are innovating and growing regardless.  We’re looking forward to celebrating this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners at our gala event in Seoul on 15 October.”

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year.
