(PRESS RELEASE) MUMBAI/ PARIS, 2025-Apr-9 — /Travel PR News/ — In a groundbreaking move set to transform India’s hospitality landscape, Accor – a global leader in hospitality – and InterGlobe, India’s premier travel conglomerate, have strengthened their longstanding partnership to form a unified, autonomous platform aimed at creating India’s fastest-growing hospitality enterprise. This strategic alliance targets an ambitious network of 300 hotels under Accor’s brands by 2030, spanning all market segments from economy to luxury.
By merging their respective owned assets, development, and management businesses, Accor and InterGlobe will streamline operations and present a formidable portfolio backed by global expertise and deep local market insights. Accor, which already operates 71 hotels in India with 40 more in development, will continue to lead operations and brand management across its diverse range – including luxury and lifestyle brands from the Ennismore portfolio. As part of this collaboration, the partners have forged an exclusive relationship with Treebo – one of India’s leading tech-driven budget hotel platforms. Under a master license agreement, Accor and InterGlobe will jointly invest in Treebo, facilitating the expansion of the Ibis and Mercure brands while leveraging Treebo’s robust distribution and technology systems. This initiative is expected to unlock India’s vast unbranded hotel market and bolster the group’s presence to over 30,000 rooms, establishing the new entity as India’s third-largest hospitality player.
Set against a backdrop of India’s rapidly growing economy (projected GDP growth of ~7% and a population of 1.4 billion) and a booming domestic and outbound travel market, this transformative partnership is poised to redefine hospitality in the country. Sébastien Bazin, Chairman & CEO of Accor, stated, “This landmark alliance with our trusted partner InterGlobe combines the best of global hospitality, innovative technology, and entrepreneurial spirit to unlock unprecedented growth in one of the world’s most dynamic travel markets.” Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director of InterGlobe Enterprises, added, “Our strengthened partnership with Accor represents two decades of shared success.
