Aberdeen, UK, 2019-Mar-28 — /Travel PR News/ — The Northern Lights Lounge was runner up in the Europe region, as voted by Priority Pass members. It was recognised for its “excellent locally-inspired food and drinks offering”, as endorsed by ‘Kilted Chef’ Craig Wilson. No other lounges in the UK featured in Priority Pass’ list.
The awards are in its 14th year and are based on the ratings of 52,000 Priority Pass Members and recognise airport lounges offering the best service, experience, refreshments and business facilities. Priority Pass’ lounge portfolio includes over 1,200 lounges in more than 500 cities globally, across 143 countries.
Riga’s Primeclass lounge took the European title, with the Sala VIP Internacional lounge at Quito International Airport in Ecuador named as the global winner.
Steve Szalay, Managing Director Aberdeen International Airport said: “The Northern Lights Lounge is a shining gem among our transformed terminal. The lounge is a real favourite with our passengers and welcomes all, including families.
“We’re proud to feature the very best of Aberdeenshire. The exceptional service provided by the lounge team is paired with some of the best food and drink the region has to offer. It is truly deserving of this incredible achievement.
“I’ve yet to sample a lounge better than the Northern Lights Lounge and I look forward to seeing it win further awards which it absolutely deserves.”
