BUDAPEST, Hungary, 2018-Jul-23 — /Travel PR News/ — The security screening of twenty-five thousand passengers and thousands of bags checked in per day, guaranteeing the security of an airport with 13 million per year – these are the main responsibilities of BUD Security Kft celebrating its fifth birthday in July. The subsidiary of Budapest Airport (100% of which is owned by the company operating Liszt Ferenc International Airport) has been a real success story: it has become a major player in the domestic aviation security market.
Currently, more than five-hundred people are employed by BUD Security Kft at Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Most of them work in passenger security, a position of responsibility that requires serious concentration, insight into human nature, and excellent communication skills. Since its founding, BUD Security Kft closely cooperates with the Airport Police Directorate, the authority supervising its activities; BUD Sec formulated its own professional protocols and procedures in coordination with and on the basis of the guidelines of the Airport Police. It is also BUD Sec that performs – as a subcontractor of the international security company ICTS – pre-screening before check-in for US flights of American Airlines and LOT, an activity which was audited on-site by the auditors of the US Transportation Security Administration.
“I am really proud of my colleagues’ performance, since at the quarterly passenger satisfaction surveys our passenger security screeners at the airport have repeatedly received the highest scores,” said István Szabó, managing director of BUD Security. He added, Budapest Airport has become one of the best in Europe in terms of security, which is acknowledged by the Hungarian authorities and organizations as well as the aviation security auditors of the European Union. Currently, colleagues in BUD Sec are even receiving invitations from abroad to give advice – a sign of professional trust and a great honor.
“We lay great emphasis on the permanent professional training of our staff, since in this area one must quickly react to newly emerging security risks. I am especially glad to see that in addition to competitive professional trainings, BUD Security Kft can also offer competitive salaries to its employees,” underlines Zsuzsa Zahorán-Pirisi, the other managing director of BUD Sec. She also said that the experience acquired at BUD Sec is rewarded by the management with guaranteed wage increases. The dynamically developing security company is providing increasingly extensive services to its partners at Budapest Airport and beyond.
