BEIJING – 2012-12-03 — /travelprnews.com/ — The highly anticipated 18th Annual Hilton Beijing Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be taking place on Saturday December 1st, 2012. A three storey tall Christmas tree will fill the grand Hilton Beijing lobby with the festive warmth of the season. As our special guest, Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu will also attend this grand ceremony. This year’s event will feature musical performances by church choirs, a charity bazaar and other special holiday programs. Adding more merriment to the Hilton Beijing Christmas, the famous “Hilton Beijing Christmas Train” will make its stop for the third year!
Located in the center of the grand lobby, the festive display which was built by international team of engineers and artists will cover a 65 square meter winter landscape filled with cobble stone roads, cars, cozy homes, cafes, busy shops and town folks going about their daily holiday lives while model trains busily wind their way through the mountain and village tracks.
This year for the first time, the Hilton Beijing Christmas Train and tree lights will be powered by solar energy, with solar panels provided by U-Tron and dedicated to the world-renowned primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Environmental Education Program in China. All profit generated will go to run programs that help promote China’s next generation to develop their care and concern for their community, environment and animals.
To decorate the festive season with more excitement, there will also be a Charity Bazaar where you can look for your Christmas gift ideas and contribute to the community.
