2012 British Annual Canada Travel Awards go back to the future

CTC’s annual event honours the best media coverage, tour operator and more in the UK

2012-12-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Groovy, baby! The UK office of the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) dug out its flares and tie-dye shirts for the 2012 British Annual Canada Travel Awards (BACTA).

This year’s 23^rd iteration celebrated 50 years of a tourism office in London via a ‘60s theme, including rose-tinted glasses, Polaroid cameras and other period props. The event took place at 30 Pavilion Road in central London on Dec. 13.

UK travel agents voted on two categories (favourite tour operator and favourite ski operator), editors and PR reps held the gavel for the media coverage award and CTC-UK ran the rule over the Explorer award.
