Zurich Airport to start new summer timetable on 31 March 2019

ZURICH, Switzerland, 2019-Mar-28 — /Travel PR News/ — The new summer timetable at Zurich Airport will take effect with the switch to summer time on Sunday, 31 March 2019. It will remain in force until Saturday, 26 October 2019. Tour operating hours and observation deck opening hours have also been updated for the upcoming season.

Swiss International Air Lines will now fly to Danzig in Poland four times a week and, as of May 2019, to Heringsdorf in Germany once a week. The service to Bremen in Germany will continue with twelve flights a week. Edelweiss Air will now fly to Tirana (Albania) twice a week and to Ohrid, Macedonia, up to twice a week. As of June 2019, it will also serve Kalamata in Greece once a week. The current service to Colombo in Sri Lanka with two flights a week will continue until May 2019. The service to Buenos Aires in Argentina will also continue with flights twice a week.

From May 2019, Germania will fly to Tirana twice a week and to Calvi, Corsica, once a week. Eurowings will now serve Palma de Mallorca five times a week. AirSerbia is extending its service, with 19 flights a week to the Serbian capital Belgrade. Cathay Pacific is switching its aircraft for its flights to Hong Kong, China: it will now operate an Airbus A350-1000, increasing its capacity by 59 seats per flight. British Airways will now fly passengers to London City Airport five evenings a week, thus offering a total of 26 flights to the UK capital each week. During the summer season, Icelandair will offer 11 flights a week to Reykjavik, Iceland. This summer, Air Canada will operate five flights a week to Vancouver, Canada. Aegean is increasing its capacity, now flying nine times a week to Athens, Greece.

Public tours and observation decks in summer
The tours and observation deck service is also being adjusted to summer time. Observation Deck B is once more open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Public tours will take place on Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays. On these days, the shuttle bus will also stop at Dock E once more.
