Zurich Airport is among the winners of the 2018 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards in the category 25-40 million passengers in Europe.
ZURICH, Switzerland, 2019-Mar-07 — /Travel PR News/ — The ASQ Awards are presented annually by Airports Council International (ACI) World, the international umbrella organisation for airport operators. This year Zurich Airport, together with Dublin and Oslo-Gardemoen airports, has been awarded the prize in the category for European airports with 25-40 million passengers. Following on from 2006 and 2008, this is the third time that Zurich Airport has taken first place in an ASQ Award. Switzerland’s gateway to the world received its first two awards in the Europe category. Stephan Widrig, CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, is delighted to receive this prize: “I’m particularly proud of this ASQ Award. It’s great to see that our passengers appreciate the efforts of our employees and those of more than 280 partner companies at Zurich Airport. Our aim is to maintain the airport’s high quality in the future too.”
Standardised passenger survey
To rate customer satisfaction at airports, ACI World uses a standardised questionnaire on the relevant airport’s services. This questionnaire comprises 34 categories such as check-in, security checks and catering facilities. In 2018, more than 650,000 passengers were surveyed at over 390 airports in 90 countries. The surveys are carried out shortly before boarding. The Awards have been presented since 2006 and aim to help airports compare their quality standards and identify areas for improvement. More information on the ASQ Awards can be found here.
