Whistler Blackcomb announces the appointment of Lauren Everest as its new Public Relations and Communications Manager

WHISTLER, BC, 2015-5-15 — /Travel PR News/ — After working in the Public Relations Department for more than five years, Lauren Everest has been appointed as the new Public Relations and Communications Manager at Whistler Blackcomb.

Over the past five years, Lauren has touched every aspect of Whistler Blackcomb’s Public Relations and Communications Department, which is sure to set her up for success as the team’s new leader.”

Everest began her career with Whistler Blackcomb in April 2010 when she joined the Public Relations and Communications Department as the Public Relations Coordinator. After two years she was promoted to Public Relations Supervisor where she took the lead on Whistler Blackcomb’s non-endemic media relations program. For the past three years, Everest has also taken on the role of Communications Manager for the World Ski & Snowboard Festival.

Lauren has a B.A. in Communications from Wilfred Laurier University and completed the Ontario College Graduate Certificate Program in Corporate Communications at Sheridan College before moving to Whistler.

Whistler Blackcomb’s Public Relations and Communications Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of all aspects of local, regional, provincial, national and international public relations and communications for Whistler Blackcomb. This includes building and implementing plans for public relations, community and industry relations, managing the budget and evaluating the results. Everest will lead a team of communications professionals who together work to market North America’s No. 1 resort destination.
