Fireworks will be visible on every Thursday and Friday during the festival, on 28 & 29 May, and 4, 5, 11 and 12 June. On these dates, the harbour will serve as a dual canvas of colour: Vivid Lights illuminating the Opera House sails and Harbour Bridge, and fireworks illuminating the night sky.  

Guests aboard both the Showboat and Clearview will have unobstructed water-level views of both spectacles simultaneously, a vantage point unavailable from land-based festival crowds. 

The Showboat Vivid Sydney Dinner Cruise pairs the fireworks and lights experience with a live cabaret show and a 3-course dinner aboard Sydney’s only paddlewheeler, ‘Showboat II’. The wrap-around verandahs and cathedral windows offer uninterrupted views of the harbour light installations.  

Clearview Glass Boat Vivid Sydney Dinner Cruise offers 360° harbour views from a fully glass-wrapped vessel, with a signature 4-course menu included. The glass setting and the Sky Deck is the perfect way to take in the lights-fireworks spectacle.  

Apart from the mentioned dates, these Vivid dinner cruises will also cruise the harbour for the full Vivid season, from 22 May – 13 June. So, if the fireworks dates don’t align with guests’ convenience, they can still enjoy the Vivid lights spectacle on other dates.    

Both cruises have consistently sold out in previous years, with fireworks nights booking out heavily in advance. So, operators always recommend guests to secure reservations early for the six fireworks dates, as availability on those evenings is expected to be limited.
