- Significant win for Travelport in Hungary
- OTP Travel moves its business to Travelport
Budapest, Hungary, 2013-05-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Travelport, a leading provider of critical transaction processing solutions and data for the global travel industry, and OTP Travel, a leading travel agency network in Hungary, have announced the successful migration of OTP’s network to the Galileo GDS.
The long-term agreement to move to Travelport was signed at the end of 2012 and the migration effort was completed for all OTP offices this month. OTP, who is a member of the international travel agency chain, Lufthansa City Centre, is adopting a number of Travelport solutions including Travelport Smartpoint App™ and Travelport Rapid Reprice™*.
“As soon as we began looking at our technology needs, Travelport convinced us that the solutions they could offer were perfect for us. We feel that the advanced technology that we have now moved to will further increase the revenues that we’ve been growing over the past few years. Furthermore, the strength of the Travelport team in Budapest, with their proficiency and positive attitude was another deciding factor in our decision to move to Travelport,” said Judit Molnár, CEO of OTP Travel.
“We are very pleased to have signed this agreement and are thrilled that OTP Travel is showing such enthusiasm for our technology and recognise it as a perfect match for their needs,” added Balázs Bíró, Country Manager of Travelport Hungary. “We’ve enjoyed a number of successes winning new business this year and this is the latest demonstration of a customer selecting us over the competition because we’ve been able to demonstrate that we can respond to local needs and deliver leading products.”
