Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2022-May-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Four months full of sporting adventures, culinary surprises and cultural highlights: Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère is celebrating the return of the Swiss alpine summer from June to September 2022. Very much in the tradition of the hotel, which has also served as a summer retreat for world-famous authors, musicians, painters and philosophers since 1875, music, art and sport are being combined in a program set to change each week. The calendar includes Far Eastern philosophies, hikes to hidden meadows in search of herbs, culinary adventures and celebrated artists.

“With our ‘Timetable of Amusement and Delights’ we will transporting our guests into the enchanting world of the Swiss Alps”, is how Hans-Rudolf Rütti, General Manager of the Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère, sums it up. “The entire team is looking forward to presenting guests with local and international highlights that we have handpicked and pieced together over the course of the entire year.”

The first highlight is a Kitchen Party with Keeshea to kick off the season, which promises plenty of culinary and musical surprises. It continues with a vernissage featuring the artist Tina Reichel who is currently enjoying tremendous success in Germany, the Middle East and Switzerland as well. The artist has devoted herself to architecture and abstract painting. The hotel will also be showcasing the oeuvre of Hans E. Deutsch in an art exhibition. In addition to figurative and representational works, the Swiss painter who died in 2014, favored free color compositions. A week completely immersed in well-known spiritual teachings – the soul will be free to roam at the Mountains Yoga Retreat with Umesh Tejasvi: Umesh is originally from South India. The Ayurvedic tradition has always been an important part of his life. He has been teaching these traditional customs in Europe as an Ayurvedic healer and yoga teacher for twelve years now. Touting the slogan “Mountains Culinary”, one of the highlights of the week will be the “Tavaloata Bel Vedere”. This special culinary and musical evening will be taking place at the long table under the arcades of the Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère.

Flower lovers will get their money’s worth in the “Alpine Flora Hike with Gudrun” and the “Alpine Flower Bouquet Tying with Julia”. At “Bündner Herrschaft as guest”, participants will enjoy a culinary evening with selected provenances from the “Bündner Herrschaft”. Presentation and narrative are being staged by the von Salis wine house, from Maienfeld. This contrasts with a more adventurous event in the guise of the Belvédère Xtreme running training, with eight-time Swiss-Alpine winner Jasmin Nunige. With “Dance into August”, Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère will be launching the Swiss National Day already on 31 July.

In September, Swiss field hockey legend Arno del Curto will be presenting his book “Mit Köpfchen durch die Wand” (“With brainpower through the wall”), bringing an eventful summer season to a close with the dinner thriller “Panic on the Titanic”.

Thanks to its central location on the promenade and in the immediate vicinity of alluring boutiques, restaurants and museums, Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère is an ideal point of departure for activities of all kinds. Ever since its opening on 17 July 1875, it has been impossible to imagine Davos without this hotel steeped in tradition. Its history reads like a Who’s Who of the big wide world. From its classically elegant rooms and spacious terraces, guests are able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the panoramic Alpine backdrop. Their culinary well-being is ensured by a wide-ranging gastronomy, while the in-house spa with its pool, sauna area and extensive selection of massages and beauty treatments leave nothing to be desired when it comes to relaxation.
