Ring in Spring at Eggs, Paws and Claws at the Columbus Zoo

Powell, OH, 2013-03-04 — /travelprnews.com/ —  In the spirit of spring, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will host Eggs, Paws and Claws featuring Bugs Bunny, a two-day celebration of the season on Friday, March 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children of all ages can hop to treat stations located throughout the Zoo, have their pictures taken with the Bunny, watch our animals hunt for eggs and see Peter Cottontail swim down the coral trail of Discovery Reef.

For more eggstreme fun, don’t miss the new Rolling Celebration featuring the Character Ambassador Express Train, presented by Donatos, and Bunny Bonanza at Conservation Courtyard featuring Bugs Bunny, Nesquick Bunny, Trix Rabbit, Miffy the Bunny, Zoo Character Ambassadors and more.

This weekend also marks the opening of our guest experience attractions including: Stingray Bay in Jungle Jack’s Landing, My Barn and pony rides at Habitat Hollow, the Bob Evans Train Ride, Touch Pool at Discovery Reef, Reptile Keeper Lab and the Kangaroo Walkabout in Australia and the Islands. These attractions are dependent upon animal health, weather and mechanical conditions and may require a minimal fee.

The Eggs, Paws and Claws schedule of events is as follows:

Bunny diver at Discover Reef: Friday: 6 p.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Character Ambassador Express presented by Donatos : Friday: 5:45 and 7:30 p.m.;
Saturday: 11 a.m., 12:45, 2:30 and 4:15 p.m.
Bunny Bonanza: Friday: 4:45 and 6:30 p.m.;
Saturday: 10 and 11:45 a.m., 1:30, 3:15 and 5 p.m.
Animal show at Animals on Safari stage: Friday: 6 p.m.;
Saturday: 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
