Conference Fulfills Chicago Cultural Plan Initiative

2013-03-04 — /travelprnews.com/ —  The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events is proud to announce the first ever Chicago Music Summit to be held September 20, 2013 at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington Street.)

This free admission conference will shine a spotlight on Chicago’s innovative and thriving music scene, and connect professionals with local and national industry leaders. Featuring panels, workshops, concerts, and networking opportunities, the Chicago Music Summit provides free professional development and exposure to support Chicago’s music industry.

In addition, the Chicago Music Summit advances a recommended initiative of the 2012 Chicago Cultural Plan to facilitate business and professional development in all sectors and genres in the music industry.

The summit will target local and national music industry professionals including musicians, managers, music tech companies, agents, recording studios, talent buyers, attorneys, labels, club owners, educators, talent buyers, inventors, radio/web streaming stations, government administrators and festival organizers.

Advance registration will begin on Monday, June 17 through the event website, www.chicagomusicsummit.org, which will also include continuous updates on the speakers, musical guests and workshops.
