CHICAGO, 2012-11-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Several restaurants at O’Hare and Midway International Airports received awards yesterday from Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) at its annual Airport Concessions Conference in Denver, Colorado.
The award-winning restaurants and concepts featured at Chicago’s airports include:
“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Department of Aviation, I want to thank ACI-NA for recognizing the concessions programs at Chicago’s airports as well as the outstanding efforts of many other airports in the U.S. and Canada,” said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “We continue to work diligently to incorporate sustainability throughout our concessions program and bring in new, innovative concepts and more of Chicago’s unique flair and flavor to O’Hare and Midway International Airports.”
Now in its 15th year, ACI-NA’s “Richard A. Griesbach Excellence in Airport Concessions Contest” recognizes innovative and outstanding airport concessions and showcases the unique products and services that airports are providing throughout North America. This year’s contest received a record-breaking 180 nominations for nearly 40 awards from airports of all sizes throughout the U.S. and Canada.
