Munich Airport announces the store opening of Swiss Haut Chocolatier Sprüngli

MUNICH, Germany, 2022-Apr-06 — /Travel PR News/ — From now on, passengers at Munich Airport will have the opportunity to purchase products from the renowned Swiss Haut Chocolatier Sprüngli directly at the airport: After the earlier success of its pop-up store at Munich Airport, the Swiss pioneer of Grand Cru chocolate has now chosen a permanent location in the departure area of Terminal 2 at Munich Airport. The handmade assortment of highest quality includes finest pralinés and truffles, fresh broken and bar chocolate as well as iconic Luxemburgerli ( Macarons).

For over 185 years, the traditional Swiss family-owned business has stood for genuine craftsmanship, the best natural ingredients, sustainability and fair manufacturing conditions. Swiss milk, the finest cocoa varieties and other exquisite ingredients are processed with masterful skill and passion into exclusive chocolate delights. With its pioneering spirit and exceptional creations, Sprüngli has made a significant contribution to the global reputation of Swiss chocolate up to the present day. Passengers will find an exquisite selection of fine chocolate creations in the new Sprüngli retail store in Terminal 2 at airside – already arranged or individually assembled according to the customer’s preference.

“We welcome Confiserie Sprüngli and are delighted that Munich Airport is their first European retail store outside Switzerland,” states Dr. Jan-Henrik Andersson, Chief Commercial Officer of Munich Airport.

“Munich Airport is the ideal location for us to present our Haute Chocolaterie – indulgent chocolates created with passion and in artisan tradition. As a Swiss premium brand, we share common values such as a holistic approach to quality and service as well as a sense of exclusivity and innovation,” adds Tomas Prenosil, Chief Executive Officer of Sprüngli.

The shared values are also groundbreaking for Sven Zahn, Managing Director of Eurotrade Munich Airport: “We are very happy that after successful pop-up staging, Sprüngli is now returning to Munich Airport with a permanent location. The fresh Sprüngli chocolates enrich our exclusive airport offering with first-class quality indulgence and enhance passengers’ shopping experience at Europe’s only 5-star airport.”

The Sprüngli store is open daily from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
