Men’s fashion specialist Hirmer opens new store at Munich Airport

MUNICH, Germany, 2021-Dec-15 — /Travel PR News/ — There is now a new shopping attraction at Munich Airport: The long-established Munich company Hirmer has today (December 13, 2021) opened a new store in Terminal 1 (central area). The shop has an area of 240 m² and will be used to present a selection from Hirmer’s extensive range. This is the first store that the renowned menswear specialist has opened away from its original location in Munich’s Kaufinger Strasse. The attractive range includes sportswear, smart casual and accessories from renowned brands such as Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Armani Exchange, Belstaff, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

“We are proud to have added Hirmer, a genuine Munich original, to our airport lineup. With this store, the tradition-steeped expert for men’s fashions is opening an attractive showcase to guests from all over the world in the heart of Munich Airport. At the same time, travelers, meters and greeters from Bavaria, Munich Airport employees and visitors will benefit from the new store as well,” says Jan-Henrik Andersson, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Chief Security Officer at Munich Airport.

For Johannes Ehling, Hirmer’s CEO, the new opening at the airport offers a key location advantage for the family-run company from Munich: “Hirmer’s original store is famous well beyond Munich. Our new store at Munich Airport marks the first time that Hirmer has stepped away from the heart of downtown Munich. The airport, Munich’s doorway to the world, allows us to reach a broad, international clientele and will further raise our profile. Travel and fashion are an excellent pairing, whether traveling for business or personal reasons.”

The new Hirmer store at Munich Airport is open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Visitors must be vaccinated or recovered to enter.
