Massport announces promotions for travelers using Logan Express

BOSTON, 2016-Feb-18 — /Travel PR News/ — If you had to spend your February vacation last year shoveling record breaking snow like we did, then you’re ready for a trip away. Starting today, the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) will have reduced prices for travelers using Logan Express. It’s one more way to help make your travel experience at Logan easier.

“Around this time of year, we are all pretty sick of the cold and the snow and a lot of families use these school vacation weeks to travel outside of New England,” said Massport CEO Thomas P. Glynn. “It is our job to ensure that the airport is prepared for more travelers and to help make their trip as easy as possible.”

Massport is expecting increased passenger travel at Logan Airport during these next few weeks of February as schools close for vacation.  Massport advises travelers to check with their airline for the most accurate flight information and to allow themselves additional time to get to the airport.

Parking Promotion

There are a variety of transportation options available to passengers traveling to and from Logan. For more information on all of our ground transportation options, please visit www.flylogan.com.

With Logan’s cell phone waiting lot, meeting an arriving flight no longer means circling the airport roadways. The lot is open 24 hours a day and is conveniently located just minutes from the terminals. Drivers are asked to follow signs for the cell phone lot, stay no longer than 30 minutes, and to wait with their vehicles. Commercial vehicles are prohibited from parking at the cell lot. Drivers can call 800-23-LOGAN for up-to-date airline and parking information.

As an added customer service, Massport also offers parking updates available via email based on dates of travel. When parking conditions change, the customer who subscribed for updates during that time period receives an email update. In addition to sharing parking conditions, the updates display “Proceed To” directions which include links to Logan’s other parking facilities and overflow lots on Google Maps. Travelers interested in this service are invited to sign up by visiting: http://www.massport.com/ParkingConditionSubscription/.
