LONDON, UK, 2019-Jan-29 — /Travel PR News/ — The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) today (28 January, 2019) announces the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors.

Marykay Fuller and Anne Lambert join the board, bringing with them a wealth of experience and skills.

Marykay Fuller has been a Partner at KPMG and previously was a Principal Banker for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Before that she worked for the US Government in international banking development and initially at the pension regulator where she represented the corporation on the National Airline Commission. Her experience across sectors and up to Board level includes aviation, aircraft financing and insolvencies, logistics and shipping across multiple jurisdictions including the UK, Europe and the USA.

Anne Lambert has more than 30 years’ experience in senior government and regulatory roles at both national and EU level. She was recently a Board Member and Inquiry Chair for the Competition and Markets Authority, and has previously served as Director of European and Government Affairs at NATS, UK Deputy Permanent Representative to the EU, and Deputy Director General at OFTEL.

Civil Aviation Authority Chair Dame Deirdre Hutton said: “Marykay and Anne both offer a seasoned perspective and informed counsel to enhance the work of the board in our dynamic, forward-looking industry.

“They both bring extensive knowledge of the aviation sector, as well as a range of other experience, which will be of great benefit to the Civil Aviation Authority. I very much look forward to working with them.”

Aviation Minister Baroness Sugg said: “I’m delighted to welcome these two experienced women into their new roles and look forward to working closely with Anne and Marykay as we work to ensure the UK aviation sector continues to be a global leader.”

Commenting, Marykay said: “I am very pleased to be joining the CAA Board at this time which will be very interesting and evolutionary for the industry, its passengers and wider communities”. Anne added: “I am delighted to join the CAA Board and will do my best to help the CAA meet the challenges ahead”.

Marykay and Anne have both been appointed for a period of four years, with Marykay starting on 14 January 2019 and Anne on 1 February 2019.
