COLOGNE, Germany, 2018-Sep-06 — /Travel PR News/ — Lufthansa customers in even more German cities will soon be able to book a seamless journey to their flight by train. The number of Express Rail departure stations to Frankfurt/Main, offered in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, will gradually increasing from eight to 20, as new stations will be added in Göttingen, Kassel, Erfurt and Aachen, starting in September. Freiburg and Ulm follow in December and the expansion of Essen, Bochum, Duisburg, Wuppertal, Oberhausen and Bonn, should be completed in early summer next year. Lufthansa Express Rail is already available in Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Würzburg, in which Lufthansa passengers can depart from. At the same time, these cities are destinations within the worldwide Lufthansa network which can directly be booked.

Up to eight daily connections per departure station provide a convenient connection to Lufthansa flights in Frankfurt. Lufthansa Express Rail guests can also benefit from seat reservation included in the price, earning Miles&More miles and a guaranteed connection. In the event of an unexpected delay of train or flight, Lufthansa will change your guests to a connection free of charge. Business Class guests can travel in the First Class of Deutsche Bahn and have access to the DB lounges.

Check-in and seat allocation for the Lufthansa Express Rail Service can be done online via LH.com or mobile via the Lufthansa App. The boarding pass serves as a ticket for the booked Lufthansa Express Rail connection. At the AiRail Terminal in Frankfurt, Lufthansa Express Rail guests can comfortably check in and pick up their baggage.
