KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched 3D design app for iPad

Amstelveen, Netherlands, 2014-1-8 — /travelprnews.com/ — KLM Royal Dutch Airlines introduces an app specially designed for iPad usage with a unique 3D design. The app enables services such as searching for future trip ideas, booking, check-in, an in-app boarding pass and selecting a seat.

“The app is developed with the assistance of international experts in the field of travel and design and a selected group of KLM social media followers. They have helped in enriching core functionalities and improving the app’s usability. Of course, we also involved frequent flyers to make it a true custom-made app that meets the requirements of our customers.”
Martijn van der Zee, Senior Vice President E-Commerce AIR FRANCE KLM

Selecting a next holiday destination on criteria like personal budget, temperature or flight time on a 3D spinning globe is one of the innovative features. The ability to get an overview of all KLM destinations where your Facebook friends are living, aligns the app with our social business philosophy.

Customers with a KLM or Flying Blue account can find their profile information and all they need to manage their journeys.

To help customers make the most of their journey the app will be subject to continuous improvement focusing on their specific needs and wishes. Later this year, the tablet app will also be developed for Android.

Naturally, this month’s KLM Pack & Go super deals can also be found and booked through the iPad app.

Note: the KLM app for iPad is worldwide available in the App Store in 11 languages (Brazilian Portuguese, traditional and modern Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish)
