Grella, who begins at U.S. Travel on May 6, will lead the government relations, grassroots, research and communications components of U.S. Travel’s highly successful campaign-style operation.
“Jonathan is a proven leader and a tremendous addition to the talented U.S. Travel team,” said Roger Dow, President and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association. “His experience on Capitol Hill, in various Washington capacities and in the pressure-filled National Football League provides him with unique perspectives and the experience to lead U.S. Travel’s campaign to increase travel to and within the United States.”
Grella brings a variety of political and public policy experiences to his new role at U.S. Travel, but his most recent position was in Tampa, Florida where he served as a senior advisor and the Director of Communications for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I am thrilled to be joining this dynamic association, outstanding culture and exciting industry. U.S. Travel’s talented team and leadership have been incredibly effective, and I look forward to helping build upon that success,” Grella said.
