Coca-Cola has helped place 1 million recycling bins in the U.S., diverting approximately 730 million pounds of recyclables from landfills annually. The Company designs its packaging to be fully recyclable and works to reduce the amount of plastic used in its bottles. In 2009, Coca-Cola introduced fully recyclable PlantBottle packaging made from up to 30 percent plant-based materials.
