How on Earth are You Celebrating Mother Nature? At the Columbus Zoo!

Powell, OH, 2013-03-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will host a party for the planet on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guests of all ages will learn about things they can do to improve life on earth for living creatures at animal awareness stations located around Conservation Lake and at thirteen Earth Day activity stations throughout the Zoo. Other activities, including animal enrichment experiences, Animals on Safari shows and Character Ambassador Meet ‘N’ Greets will celebrate Mother Nature on her special day.

This year’s Earth Day Celebration will feature the new, musical and lively Columbus Zoo Character Ambassador Rolling Celebration, presented by Donatos. Polly Polar Bear, Manny Manatee and the rest of the gang will board this musical Character Ambassador Express that rolls through the Zoo. Visitors should pick up an event guide that contains the route of the rolling celebration.

In anticipation of the opening of Dinosaur Island, guests can stroll through the Zoo and gather information on large dinosaur eggs during Dino Seek ‘N’ Find. Participants should stop by Guest Relations for a Seek ‘N’ Find form for a chance to win prizes from the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Safari Golf Club and the Wilds.

Most Earth Day Celebration attractions are included with paid admission and are free to Columbus Zoo members. Some attractions are weather dependent. For more information visit www.columbuszoo.org/events.
