BETHESDA, MD, 2016-May-05 — /Travel PR News/ — Overnight, global restaurateur HMSHost has successfully taken over operations of six restaurants at Piedmont Triad International Airport. This past weekend’s transition of restaurant operations from SSP is the first step towards transforming the dining experience at Greensboro’s airport. HMSHost will continue to operate existing brands while renovating and rotating in new and exciting restaurants throughout 2016. These changes at the airport are the result of HMSHost being awarded a 10-year contract to run the airport’s dining locations.

With operations now underway, HMSHost will continue to convert existing concepts to an exclusive offering of leading brands, eventually replacing every unit with a new restaurant. The pre-security Main Terminal will soon be home to PGA TOUR Grill and The Great American Bagel. Post-security, the North Concourse will offer The Local @ GSO and the first Starbucks for Piedmont Triad International Airport travelers, while the South Concourse will feature ACC American Café and a second Starbucks location.
HMSHost is still filling certain positions for the new operation which will constitute 65-70 jobs in total when hiring is complete, nearly double the number of restaurant jobs available at the airport before HMSHost took over the spaces.
