Hilton Brighton Metropole Welcomes Award-Winning Manager To Waterhouse Bar & Terrace

BRIGHTON, England – 2012-11-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Hilton Brighton Metropole, situated on Brighton’s famous seafront, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robb Collins as manager of Waterhouse Bar & Terrace. Collins brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role, having been voted by the public in September 2012 as Best Bartender at the Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Festival’s Mix Off cocktail competition.

Collins competed against 15 other Brighton based bartenders, winning the public over with his signature “Lady in Red” cocktail, created using a fruity concoction of peach schnapps, cranberry juice, squeeze of lime, hint of rose water and Jim Beam bourbon. Guests can sample the signature cocktail at Waterhouse Bar & Terrace, priced at £9.00 per cocktail.

Prior to joining Waterhouse Bar & Terrace, Collins was bar manager at Moon Bar Cocktail Lounge in New Zealand. During his time in New Zealand, he was a finalist at numerous competitions including Bols Around the World New Zealand & Australia, 42 Below Cocktail World Cup and the New Zealand Hospitality Awards. Collins, born in Britain, has been working as a mixolgist since 2005, working across the world from Miami to the UK and Australia.

Robb said, “Brighton has such a vibrant social scene that it made perfect sense for me to come back and put my stamp on this part of England. I’m really looking forward to working in the newly refurbished Waterhouse Bar & Terrace, helping to establish it as one of Brighton’s exciting destination bars; somewhere people can come for a well made classic or innovative award-winning cocktail with a great sea view”.

This summer, the Waterhouse Bar & Terrace unveiled its new look after undergoing a dramatic renovation by award-winning local interior designers and architects, DesignLSM, based in nearby Hove. Inspired by private members’ clubs and grand bistros, the newly designed interior of The Waterhouse Bar & Terrace evokes an opulent atmosphere and reflects the heritage of the hotel.

The renovations are part of an ongoing refurbishment plan that has seen a £4million investment in Hilton Brighton Metropole, which is due to continue until the end of 2012.
