Alexandria, VA, 2013-01-04 — /travelprnews.com/ — GBTA applauds Delta Air Lines’ (Delta) recent decision to postpone implementation of their baggage check process when traveling on separate tickets.
“GBTA welcomes Delta’s decision to postpone their new checked baggage policy. With the postponement of this decision, it ensures that Delta’s business travelers’ baggage will arrive at their final destination without travel interruption or hassle. We encourage Delta to honor their existing checked baggage to final destination policy and to no longer consider making any modifications to this policy,” said Jim McMullan, GBTA president and CEO.
On October 25, 2012, Delta published an E-Mail Extra clarifying the baggage check process for customers traveling on separate tickets. The communications stated that for travel on or after January 15, 2013, Delta policy would be to check a passenger’s baggage between the origin and destination points that are indicated on a single or conjuncted ticket exclusively.
