Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club announces three new additions to its decorated executive team

Surfside, Florida, U.S.A, 2018-Sep-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Hot on the heels of Cornelia Samara’s appointment to General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club announces three new additions to its decorated executive team.

The legendary oceanfront property welcomes Koji Akaboshi as its new Hotel Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations at The Surf Club. With more than two decades of experience within the company across multiple properties, Akaboshi brings a breadth of experience to this new role.

“My goal is to be able to take away something special from every property that I work with,” Akaboshi says. “Each place is unique and every assignment given to you at Four Seasons provides you with tools that allow you to do better in your job.”

Although of Japanese descent, Akaboshi was born in Brazil and grew up in Chile and Ecuador. Being the only Japanese family in town, his father, a marine biologist, would often invite people over to their home. It was here that Akaboshi learned about the magic of entertainment and the power of food, particularly its ability to connect people across various cultures, something he has carried with him throughout his career.

This early life lesson continues to hold weight with his new role at The Surf Club as he upholds the highest levels of guest experience at this historic property. At his start, he will focus on the Hotel’s food and beverage offerings, including the signature dining experience at Le Sirenuse Miami and its accompanying Champagne Bar.

Four Seasons has also made two other appointments to its leadership team, with Sandra Oliva as Director of Marketing and Laura Martinez as Director of Spa.

Joining the company in 2011, Oliva, a veteran in the marketing world, brings an extensive amount of experience with her to Surfside, Florida. Most recently, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel on the French Riviera. It was Oliva’s hard work that was instrumental in making that property one of the most iconic destinations in the world. At The Surf Club, her impact will be no different. She will be curating strategic brand partnerships and continuing to cement the property as one of the best hotels globally.

New to the company, Martinez is no stranger to the wellness sphere and she brings endless knowledge to the world-class team at the Spa at Four Seasons. While the spa industry continues to evolve, the experience Martinez has gained throughout her career gives her the tools to not only adapt but also embrace diverse markets. The Spa is already well known for its luxurious treatment menu, but Martinez’s goal is to elevate that further by incorporating even more exclusive items.

“I’m thrilled to welcome these three outstanding individuals to our executive team,” says Cornelia Samara, General Manager. “With their leadership skills, proven experience and dedication, I know they will lead their teams to continue to deliver the exceptional service that our guests have come to expect.”

The three new appointments to the executive team at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club will undoubtedly continue to enhance the historic property and ensure it is Miami’s leading luxury destination.
