ExpressJet Airlines and United Flight Systems announce Preferred School Program partnership

ATLANTA, 2016-Aug-16 — /Travel PR News/ — ExpressJet Airlines (“ExpressJet”) is excited to announce a partnership agreement with United Flight Systems to offer qualified students a pathway to secure a first officer position at the airline.

This new partnership provides currently enrolled students or student instructors at smaller flight training programs the same incentives as their peers who attend traditional four-year universities. The goal is to advance flight training and promote aviation careers across the country.

“Our pilots of tomorrow are vital not only to the aviation industry, but the commercial transportation sector as a whole. It is important that we do everything we can to ensure our future pilots and instructors are properly equipped with the knowledge and resources available to be successful,” said Darrin Greubel, director of Flight Operations at ExpressJet Airlines. “ExpressJet values the investment students make in their aviation career and the Preferred School Program partnership ensures that in return for their investment, they have a secure future with ExpressJet upon successful completion of training.”

Agreement benefits include:

  • Early interview and non-binding conditional job offer
  • Enhanced student commitment
  • Program visibility

“We are really excited to join ExpressJet in this partnership,” said Robert Watts, owner of United Flight Systems, a Cessna Pilot Center and flight school near Spring, Texas. Owner since 1989, Watts foresees this venture as one means to help cure the expected pilot shortage coming soon.
