Enterprise Rent-A-Car and travel expert Valarie D’Elia: fall road trip is easier to do than you might think

Enterprise Offering $9.99 Per Day Weekend Special

ST. LOUIS, 2015-10-8 — /Travel PR News/ — Fall is here, but that doesn’t mean vacation season is over. Whether it’s one last trip to the beach for a romantic weekend, a family apple-picking adventure, or a few days visiting your alma mater with college friends, there are plenty of reasons to hit the open road this season. And while for many busy people, the planning, packing and coordinating associated with vacations can seem complicated, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and travel expert Valarie D’Elia are reminding individuals that taking that fall escape is easier to do than you might think.

“When considering a road trip getaway, I find that many people are put off because they think it takes too much planning. But that’s simply not the case,” said D’Elia, who is the creator of the Travel With Val brand.

D’Elia suggests that individuals simply need to answer three easy questions to get their inspiration for a memorable road trip:

  • What’s the one activity you most want to do?
  • With whom do you want to do it?
  • How far do you want to drive?

“Answering these simple questions can put you well on your way to an ideal fall escape,” said D’Elia. “And as we enter this ‘in-between’ travel season – those weeks after summer but before the holiday rush – now is a great time to take advantage of some tremendous deals.”

Enterprise is doing its part with a weekend special that offers customers rates of $9.99 per day when they rent Friday through Monday at participating Enterprise neighborhood (non-airport) locations. The rate applies to economy and compact car rentals and includes 300 free miles per weekend. Enterprise provides similar savings on larger vehicles, and unlimited mileage packages are also available at most locations. For longer trips, some locations offer an option to add up to two extra days to the Friday-through-Monday rental at a discounted rate. And, as always, Enterprise makes pick up and drop off at its neighborhood locations easy with its signature ‘We’ll Pick You Up’ service.

“Over the years, our customers have shared the challenges they face in planning road trips and we want to help remove some of those barriers by offering a starting point and making it easy for individuals to get away this fall with our weekend special,” said Steve Short, vice president, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “For many people, we’re nearby with more than 5,600 offices located within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population.”
