Enotel Affiliates its Five-Star Resort with RCI

The Portuguese hotel group enters timeshare market by joining the leader in vacation exchange

Kettering, Northampton, U.K. – 2012-10-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — Enotel has signed an affiliation agreement with RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange. Enotel, one of Portugal’s leading hotel brands, has recently joined the timeshare mixed-use market with its Madeira-based resort, Enotel Lido Resort Conference & Spa.

The Enotel Lido opened in April 2012 and is the first of its kind in Madeira – offering guests a five-star all-inclusive holiday club product under its Enotel Plus brand. The Enotel’s Lido joins its sister holiday ownership properties, Enotel Lido in Madeira and Enotel Porto Galinhas in Brazil in RCI’s exchange network of more than 4,000 resorts.

Just five minutes from the center of Madeira’s capital, Funchal, Enotel Lido enjoys dramatic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Its bright, spacious rooms and suites boast large terraces and ocean views. Gourmet meals can be enjoyed in the hotel’s excellent restaurants and bars.

Its facilities include the Thalassothys Spa with Turkish bath, sauna and gym, sports activities, a sports bar, children’s clubs, a varied entertainment program and numerous swimming pools.

Dimitris Manikis, vice president, Business Development, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Enotel Lido – the first and only five-star resort on the island offering an all-inclusive holiday – into the RCI family.

“The introduction of a product that is going to attract a younger generation of timeshare buyers is crucial to the future growth of the shared-vacation ownership market, and Enotel Plus, an all-inclusive package at a luxury resort, will appeal to this demographic,” Manikis continued.

“We are very happy with what has been achieved with RCI and our excellent relationship has been strengthened with the introduction of holiday-ownership exchange at Enotel Lido in Madeira,” said Rogerio Santos, project director at Enotel. “Our commitment comes from our passion to innovate and to satisfy our clients, with a continued focus on better service and customer satisfaction.”

The affiliation of Enotel Lido brings the number of RCI-affiliated resorts on the island to 16, with a total of 55 RCI-affiliated resorts in mainland Portugal.
