(PRESS RELEASE) Berlin/Dubai, 2024-Jun-6 — /Travel PR News/ — In a move set to enhance travel options and connectivity for passengers, Emirates and Condor have formalized a reciprocal codeshare partnership slated to commence in October 2024, pending regulatory approvals. This strategic collaboration aims to provide Emirates customers seamless access to Condor-operated flights via Germany, particularly to popular destinations in Majorca and the Canary Islands, as well as various international points across North, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean.

Under this expanded partnership, Condor will affix their marketing code “DE” to Emirates-operated flights beyond Dubai, enabling Condor passengers to access a plethora of unique destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. The activation of this codeshare coincides with the launch of Condor’s Berlin-Dubai route scheduled for this October.

The agreement was formalized during the IATA Annual General Meeting in Dubai, with Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, signing on behalf of their respective airlines. The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key members from both airlines’ executive management teams.

Adnan Kazim expressed delight in strengthening the partnership with Condor, lauding the airline as one of Germany’s foremost leisure carriers. He emphasized the benefits of greater connectivity and access to unique destinations within Emirates’ extensive network, coupled with the airline’s renowned in-flight service and hospitality.

Peter Gerber echoed Kazim’s sentiments, underscoring the significance of partnering with Emirates, a global aviation leader. He highlighted the partnership’s strategic importance for Condor and its customers, emphasizing the enhanced connectivity and expanded flight options with the assurance of premium service quality from both airlines.

The collaboration between Emirates and Condor builds upon their existing reciprocal interline agreement initiated in November 2023, which facilitated seamless connectivity across 70 routes operated by both airlines. Additionally, the partnership includes a frequent flyer programme agreement allowing Emirates Skywards members to earn and redeem miles on all Condor-operated flights.

Tickets for codeshare flights can be booked through the official websites of Emirates and Condor, as well as via Online Travel Agencies and major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) through authorized travel agents. This partnership underscores both airlines’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience and accessibility for passengers across their respective networks.
