Thanksgiving

Debuting this fall, Proof restaurant will be serving up delectable holiday offerings at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale on Thanksgiving. Proof restaurant will host an all-American buffet of appetizers, salads, sides and desserts, along with five entrée course options ordered à la carte, celebrating home-style dishes found across the United States. The Thanksgiving menu is available from 12:00 – 7:00 pm, and the cost is USD 75.00 for adults and USD 35.00 for children ages 5-12.

New this year, Proof will be dishing up holiday Pies ‘n Sides “to-go,” to encourage more time for mixing and mingling with friends and family and less time over a hot stove. Available items include classic favourites such as cranberry sauce, fluffy mashed potatoes dotted with butter, and sweet potato casserole and pie. Pastry Chef Lance Whipple will be baking mouth-watering goodies such as bourbon pecan pie, traditional pumpkin pie and many other pastries and cakes sure to wake up taste buds.

The Resort’s signature Talavera restaurant will offer a four-course holiday dinner menu. Guests will enjoy tempting tastes such as honey-glazed Maple Leaf duck breast, maple-cinnamon squash soup baked in an acorn squash, and Diestel Ranch organic turkey served with caramelized apple-corn bread stuffing. Throughout the holiday season, guests of all ages can leave the snow behind and partake in fun-filled activities, unique to Four Seasons temperate locale. A few of the many holiday festivities include an “Easy as Pie” class, sunset hikes to Pinnacle Peak trail, stargazing, Native American arts and crafts, Southwest storytelling and stargazing.

Christmas Day, Dececember 25, 2012, marks further celebration in Talavera and Proof. For an elegant evening celebration, Talavera will feature a four-course plated dinner. Enjoy selections including parsnip-truffle soup, all natural veal loin medallion with lobster ravioli, and butternut squash with Perigord black truffles, and for the main course, guests can choose the Snake River wagyu strip loin or slow roasted Christmas goose, followed by a festive gingerbread cake with eggnog mousse and cranberry sorbet for dessert. The dinner will run from 3:00 to 9:00 pm, and the cost is USD 87.00 per person.

Ring in the New Year

Celebrate the New Year with elegant ambiance and delectable cuisine in Talavera, December 31, 2012, featuring a gala four- or five-course plated menu. As the clock strikes midnight, ring in the New Year with a Champagne toast and party favours in Onyx Bar & Lounge, along with live entertainment. The cost for the evening is USD 87.00 for the first seating, and USD 155.00 for the second seating.

In Proof, guests will enjoy festive bar fare, such as hoppin’ john’s black-eyed pea fritters and pastrami cured salmon on corn and potato cakes. The festive bar menu will be available until 12:30 pm. The dinner special featured in Proof on New Year’s Eve is a crab cake crusted 14-oz. New York steak with a jacked-up baked potato. Proof’s New Year’s Eve dinner menu will be served from 5:30 to 10:00 pm. Live music by ShouTheory will get the New Year’s party started at 8:30 pm.

Guests can begin and end their festivities in Onyx Bar & Lounge, enjoying a celebratory toast and light bites along with panoramic desert views.
