CHICAGO, 2016-Jul-18 — /Travel PR News/ — The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) is pleased to announce that Midway International Airport received a perfect score from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Part 139 airfield safety inspection.
The airfield inspection was completed last week. This annual test conducted by the FAA closely examines an airport’s compliance with regulations for airfield operations including pavement, signage, lighting, markings, inspection reports, fueling operations and emergency response and preparedness.

Evans, Commissioner, CDA. “This perfect score for safe flight operations on the airfield at Midway highlights the CDA’s dedication to provide the highest level of safety for the traveling public each and every day.”
Midway International Airport has achieved a perfect score from the FAA for its Part 139 inspection 16 out of the last 19 years. Both of Chicago’s airports have an outstanding record for safety and continually meet safety guidelines and standards monitored during FAA safety inspections.
