Budapest Airport again earned gold-level accreditation from Investors in People as best employer

Budapest, Hungary, 2022-Apr-06 — /Travel PR News/ — In 2022, the airport operator has once again earned gold-level accreditation from Investors in People, a global rating granted only to the best employers. According to the rating, the employees of Budapest Airport Zrt. are proud of their workplace, are well prepared, represent the highest level of expertise and the company prioritizes the well-being and safety of its employees.

Every three years, Investors in People, an international organization, assesses compliance with the standards it has developed. According to the principles of the British organization, the development of a company is sustainable if it actively involves employees in its work processes, while is continuously supporting and encouraging employees to develop.

Budapest Airport was the first continental airport in Europe to be granted the employer of excellence accolade in 2015, and in 2018, it strengthened its accreditation to Gold level. In January 2022, Investors in People updated Budapest Airport’s accreditation, giving all employees of Budapest Airport Zrt. the opportunity to share their views on their working conditions, by completing an online questionnaire.

The survey also included face-to-face interviews with the Hungarian consultant of Investors in People, who interviewed 30 people of Budapest Airport employees. In addition 300 colleagues shared their opinion online from all areas and levels of the organization.

Based on the responses from Budapest Airport employees, the airport operator has again in 2022 been awarded the Gold-level accreditation given to the best employers. Only 17% of the 15,000 companies from the 75 countries surveyed can boast the same achievement.

Budapest Airport scored 735 out of a maximum 900 points, a significant improvement on the 2018 score (698 points) and the industry-specific average of just 692 points. With this result, Budapest Airport is ranked 171st out of 1036 companies with 255-4999 employees, and holds the prominent 5th position out of 54 companies active in a similar field globally.

According to the survey, Budapest Airport employees are proud of their workplace and find their tasks varied and interesting. At the airport, employees trust their managers and feel that their opinions and ideas matter, and that their managers trust their abilities. Each department is well prepared and represents the highest level of expertise.

According to its employees, Budapest Airport creates real shared value, and is an employer that cares about good morale, employee well-being and safety. It is also open to continuous improvement and finding innovative solutions. This is also reinforced by employees’ experience that the company has a clear vision.
