2012-10-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — Tickets are now on sale for a very special gala screening event to be held at the Hotel De France’s Great Hall on 8 November 2012. Kindly sponsored by Spearpoint and JTC Group, the event features a screening of SEARCHING FOR SUGARMAN, as well as a Q&A with the producer, a live performance from a very special mystery musical guest and an after party in Hotel De France’s Starlight Room.
SEARCHING FOR SUGARMAN (Malik Bendjelloul, 2012) tells the story of two South Africans who set out to discover what happened to their unlikely musical hero, the American cult rock icon, Rodriguez. Their journey leads them to an incredible discovery, the consequences of which make this one of the most inspirational music documentaries ever made. Receiving worldwide acclaim since its release this summer, it’s already being tipped for success at the upcoming Oscars.
Joining us on the night for a Q&A will be Academy Award-winning producer Simon Chinn, and in true Branchage style, the Great Hall will be converted into a spectacular theatre with a stunning pre-screening performance in store for guests too.
