Spring 2013 sees the start of tailor-made Body & Soul Journeys at Raffles Praslin Seychelles. Designed for total wellness and relaxation, the journeys will pay careful attention to both physical and spiritual elements of the individual.
Beginning with a wellness drink and a one-on-one spa consultation on arrival, personalised programmes will be built to cater to guests’ individual needs, inducing them to a transforming journey around spa treatments and a series of daily wellness and fitness activities. The Raffles Spa treatments reflect the phases of transformation of a Lotus: from bud, to blossom and bloom for a complete revitalising experience. Treatments also use local natural elements such as the pearl and sea shells for local immersion – the Pure Pearl treatment includes an exfoliation with therapeutic-grade pearl powder renowned for calming the spirit, stabilizing emotions and rejuvenating skin, while the Seashell Therapy uses smooth heated seashells as massage tools. Fitness itineraries can include rise-and-shine jogs, morning beach stretches, group fitness classes, sunset yoga or Pilates sessions on the beach, and hiking, biking or kayaking.
Embracing the philosophy of living well, in addition to exercise and spa treatments, key elements of the Body & Soul Journeys include cuisine, connecting to the environment and some well deserved rest. Guests can choose from a variety of health dishes, with calorie and nutrition information included on the menu. Also on offer is a wide variety of excursions and nature trails to take in Seychellois island life, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Vallée de Mai, home to the endemic Coco de Mer or hiking on Curieuse island, rich in history and unique flora and fauna species.
In true Raffles style, guests can also look forward to an indulgent evening bath, drawn and prepared by their butler – available around the clock – in the beautiful surroundings of a luxurious villa, with private plunge pool and spectacular Indian Ocean panoramas.
