Bahrain Airport Company held a workshop at the Movenpick hotel to raise awareness of the new labor law

2013-05-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — In line with its’ mission to create an ideal work environment, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) held a workshop at the Movenpick hotel to raise awareness of the new labor law.

Delivered by the Legal Adviser for the Labor Minister Dr. Abdul Baset Mohamed Mohsen, the session explained the emergence of the new law in making the required balance between workers and employers in the private sector.   Legislations of the new labor law were also presented during the session, providing BAC management a wider perspective on the implications of the new development on the work environment and the general Bahraini labor market.

On the sidelines of this event, Mrs./ Hind Mohammed Mahmood, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at BAC, confirmed the company’s commitment to the new law by ensuring employees’ rights are met.  She explained this development will attract and maintain the qualified work-force and contributes towards the realization of the company’s mission in operating BIA as a world-class airport.

BAC pays great attention to its’ human capital, whether by developing an integrated human resources strategy or by launching a set of initiatives to improve the work environment.  As a result, the airport won various internationally-renowned awards, most recently the SKYTRAX Award in 2013 for the Middle East’s Best Airport Staff.  It has also received different nominations which ranked BIA in the SKYTRAX world’s top 100 airports.

Note to mention, BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Vision 2030.  In its’ operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services.  This is set to improve BIA capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
