Camiel Eurlings Appointed KLM President & CEO

2013-02-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — Based on a decision taken by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ Supervisory Board on Wednesday, Camiel Eurlings is appointed President & CEO effective 1 July 2013. He will succeed Peter Hartman who has held this position since 1 April 2007. As of 1 July 2013, KLM’s statutory Board of Managing Directors will then consist of Camiel EurlingsPieter Elbers and Erik Varwijk. Mr Eurlings joined the KLM board on 1 July 2011. Peter Hartman will remain in KLM’s service until he retires on 1 January 2014.

Peter Hartman will retain his seat on the AIR FRANCE KLM Board of Directors and, in this capacity, will continue to be closely involved in the development of AIR FRANCE KLM.

The Supervisory Board voted unanimously in favour of Camiel Eurlings’ appointment and has expressed its full confidence in him and the management team that will be heading up KLM under his leadership with effect from 1 July 2013.
