WHAT  They serve, they defend, they protect, they sacrifice, and Woodland Park Zoo salutes them. In honor of those who put themselves at risk in service to their community and country, the zoo extends free admission to all active, veteran and retired U.S. military personnel and their spouses with valid service identification on Veterans Day, November 11, 2012.

Woodland Park Zoo also recognizes the families and friends of our military with a special offer: up to four accompanying family members with valid ID will receive $5 off regular zoo admission on Veterans Day. Veterans Day discounts cannot be combined with other offers or zoo discounts.

Ongoing Military Discount
Woodland Park Zoo offers regular military discounts at the zoo gates year round: active, retired, and veteran U.S. military and their families receive $5 off each zoo admission purchased at any zoo gate (must show valid military ID).

WHEN Veterans Day discounts are available Sunday, November 11, 2012 during regular zoo hours, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The ongoing military discount extended to military personnel and military will continue year round.

WHERE Admission discounts can be redeemed at either zoo admission gate: West Entrance located at Phinney Ave. N. between N. 55th and N. 56th Sts. and South Entrance located at N. 50th St. and Fremont Ave. N.

COST Veterans Day admission is free to all active, veteran and retired U.S. military personnel and their spouses. Must show valid service ID to redeem discount. Up to four family members accompanying heroes with valid ID will receive $5 off admission during the event.

INFO Fall/winter hours: 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily. Admission: Adult (13-64) $11.75; Child (3-12) $8.50; Toddler (0-2) Free. Active, retired, and veteran U.S. military and their families, seniors and people with physical disabilities receive an admission discount. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year round. Parking: $5.25.
