Wizz Air reaches 444,444 passengers on its Kosice, Slovakia routes

Budapest, Hungary, 2016-Oct-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe has just stepped into the 4th year of its presence in Kosice and today (06/10/2016) celebrates a major milestone of carrying 444,444 passengers on its Kosice routes.

The first WIZZ flight took off from Kosice in September 2013 and after two years of successful operations, the airport became the 20th WIZZ base on 5 June 2015 with one based new Airbus A320 aircraft. Establishing base operations, WIZZ created 36 direct jobs while bringing more opportunities to Kosice.

Wizz Air now offers three United Kingdom services from Kosice connecting the city with Bristol, Doncaster Sheffield and London Luton. In 2015 Wizz Air carried more than 175,000 passengers on its Kosice routes, supporting over 130 local jobs*.
