Winnipeg Airports Authority, Oh Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven on the Airport Campus

2012-11-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Winnipeg Airports Authority congratulates 7-Eleven and Petro-Canada on their grand opening and officially welcomes them to the airport campus.

“The addition of a 7-Eleven and Petro-Canada on the airport campus provides convenient 24/7 services for travellers, customers, employees and campus neighbours,” said Barry Rempel, president & CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority. “Today’s modern airports provide services for business and community life and this new offering directly aligns with our mission of providing excellent airport services and facilities.”

“Winnipeg is our third airport location in Canada,” says Tim Donegan, vice president of 7-Eleven Canada. “Our strategy is to provide convenience where our guests most need it so adding to our Winnipeg family of stores was a natural step. After all, Winnipeg was named the Slurpee Capital of the World for the 13th consecutive year this summer so what better way to meet visitors and welcome residents back to the city than with a Slurpee drink? Now it’s even more convenient to do this all year round.”

Located on Wellington Avenue at the access points to and from the airport, the new 7-Eleven store will offer its guests high-quality products to grab on-the-go. Whether you’re catching a flight, heading to work or doing an airport drop, fresh fruit, sandwiches, vegetable trays, baked goods and 7-Eleven’s popular, freshly-brewed coffee will be available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. It’ll also be the perfect opportunity to stop for gas as the store will share the site with Petro-Canada.

“Our customers want quality and convenience from us where ever they go so we want to exceed their expectations in all the communities we join,” adds Donegan. “Whether you’re travelling or working an early shift at the airport, we offer a quick one-stop-shop for everyone.”

The campus is home to organizations such as StandardAero, Greyhound, Canada Post, Four Points Sheraton and its employees. Projects under construction include the Winnipeg Grand Airport Hotel and Harvey’s in the arrivals area of the terminal. Announced earlier this year and breaking ground shortly is the Courtyard by Marriott.
