Thomas Cook Group Airlines extends its seasonal service from Manchester to New York to a year-round programme

Manchester, 2017-Jun-21 — /Travel PR News/ — Thomas Cook Group Airlines’ rapidly expanding Europe-US network took another leap forward today ( June 19, 2017 ) with the extension of its popular seasonal service from Manchester to New York to a year-round programme.

The airline announced today three additional direct flights from Manchester to John F. Kennedy airport beginning on December 14th. The route is Thomas Cook Airlines’ first year-round route from Manchester to the USA.

Christoph Debus, Chief Airlines Officer, Thomas Cook Group, said: “This new year-round service represents further progress with Thomas Cook’s strategy to expand its successful long-haul offering. We want to become the preferred leisure carrier for long haul flights from Europe to North America.

“With our group’s 17 US gateways, it’s never been so easy for our customers to reach top US destinations and for inbound customers to explore Europe with ease and in great comfort.”

Passenger numbers of the award winning leisure airline between Europe and North America have more than doubled during the past three years. Current US routes from Manchester include Miami, Orlando, New York, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. From the group’s German Condor operation, the destinations are Anchorage, Austin, Baltimore, Fairbanks, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Portland, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Seattle.

The new all year service from New York joins the full year gateways Las Vegas and Seattle that Condor, the German operating part of Thomas Cook Group Airlines, already offers from Frankfurt.

“New York City is amazing all year round, and with three further flights per week, we can now fly customers from Christmas until mid-March. We work closely with partner airlines, allowing us to connect to 90 destinations within the USA,” added Mr Debus.

The additional direct flights to Manchester from New York start on 14th December 2017 with departures on from New York on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. To celebrate the launch, a promotion of the winter flights, seats of the leisure airline are available from £299.98 return in Economy class, on selected days. The flights will be operated by an Airbus A330. All tickets include 23kg of hold luggage and 6kg of cabin luggage, as well as meals. Inflight entertainment is available on seat-back touchscreens, with a choice of free or paid-for content, featuring more than 30 movies and 50 TV shows.
